My name is Laura. I am on a spiritual journey and I hope you’ll join me.
My greatest desire is to pursue a meaningful life through deep reflection, authentic relationships, and time seeking the Spirit. I like to write down my thoughts and prayers which usually center around God’s all encompassing love for everyone. I also love creating and singing music that has language which points me to the Spirit’s love. My purpose is to be in a genuine relationship with God and those around me. Worship Leader @mosaicfumc at First United Methodist Church of Denton, TX.
As I was walking into the car repair shop I thought to myself:
Unwashed, with my hair thrown up in an oily, messy bun, I sported mismatched sporty shorts, an old t-shirt, and my trusty Birkenstocks. In short, I felt gross.
A world where people based their life’s worth not on possessions, success, or wealth but instead on friend ships, community, and how they treat others?
Try to find a space inside your self where you can strip away all the distractions from your life: the worries about the future, the anxiety, depression, disappointment, and fear.
So I want you to take this time right now to think of that hurt, that pain, and the person that has hurt you. And tell God right now how they have hurt you. Name your hurt. And let God hear your heart.
You have sculpted each of us in the image of love. You have given us the power to share your love, or to lock it away, hidden even from ourselves. Sometimes we forget that the choice is ours – to take love, to give love, to be love.
