It’s a relevant prayer for the present time, as leaders (lay and clergy) from our denomination gather this coming week to talk, pray and discern a way forward for the United Methodist church on the question of human sexuality.
As I was walking into the car repair shop I thought to myself:

A world where people based their life’s worth not on possessions, success, or wealth but instead on friend ships, community, and how they treat others?
Try to find a space inside your self where you can strip away all the distractions from your life: the worries about the future, the anxiety, depression, disappointment, and fear.
